Lambda Chi Alpha General Scholarship Fund

Not sure which scholarship you’d like to support? Consider contributing to the Lambda Chi Alpha General Scholarship Fund, which is used to award additional scholarships to deserving Gamma-Rho members and provide enrichment funds for university-related educational programs.

Don Sherman Brotherhood Scholarship

Established in honor of Gamma-Rho alumnus Donald N. Sherman, who in his service to Gamma-Rho achieved the Order of Merit-(Lambda Chi Alpha’s highest international alumni honor), this scholarship recognizes those who embody what it means to be a Lambda Chi. Recipients must exemplify the highest values and qualities of a Lambda Chi brother, show commitment to work and service, and demonstrate financial need.

Dr. Loyd Harris Scholarship

Established in honor of Gamma-Rho alumnus Dr. Loyd E. Harris, who was one of five founding fathers of the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Oklahoma, this scholarship recognizes those for whom the scholarship would make a difference and who are likely to return the favor of contributing to the Lambda Chi Alpha Scholarship Program when in a position to do so.

Garrett Draper Memorial Award

Established in memory of Gamma-Rho alumnus Garrett Draper, this scholarship recognizes those who illustrate the meaning of brotherhood in Lambda Chi. Nominees for this award should exemplify those traits that Garrett Draper possessed: brotherhood, participation, and a quiet, inspirational attitude.

James C. Benson Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Gamma-Rho alumnus James C. Benson, this scholarship recognizes those who have shown great commitment to the chapter. Nominees for this award should each meet the following criteria: be a senior or junior who has lived in the chapter house each year (except for his freshman year), served as a chapter officer or on ritual team, and exemplifies the chapter motto of “Always Represent What We Represent.”

James Cates Scholarship

Established in memory of Gamma-Rho alumnus James Cates.

James R. Jones Scholarship

Established in honor of Gamma-Rho Alumnus James R. Jones, this scholarship recognizes outstanding members in areas of scholastic achievement and leadership ability.

Quade Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to any Gamma-Rho Associate Member who achieves a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in his first semester of Associate Membership.

Walter B. Malone Scholarship

Established in honor of Gamma-Rho alumnus Walter B. Malone, this scholarship was created as a prestigious award to recognize outstanding chapter members who have excelled in academic achievement, campus leadership, and chapter participation.

Winton Scholarship

Established in honor of Gamma-Rho alumnus Thomas C. Winton, this scholarship recognizes dedicated chapter members who demonstrate financial need. Recipients will have a proven record of active chapter participation. Academic performance will also be considered but is not a primary qualification.
